Clear Aligners

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a type of invisible braces. It can help to straighten crooked or misaligned teeth with a series of clear aligners. These braces are transparent so, unless you tell them, others will not know you are wearing them.

These clear braces are a great alternative to fixed metal braces. Unlike other kinds of traditional braces, they can be removed completely and then replaced after brushing, flossing, eating or drinking.

Benefits of straightening your teeth with Invisalign®

  • Removable: You can take out your aligners any time to eat or drink whatever you like.
  • Virtually invisible: Invisalign® lives up to its name. No one will notice that you are straightening your teeth unless they look very closely at your smile.
  • Easy oral hygiene: You can brush and floss your teeth as normal and clean your aligners separately.
  • Save time: Your checkup appointments at our practice will be brief and few because it does not take much time to check the fit of your aligners and provide you with new ones. There are no metal wires to adjust with Invisalign.

ClearCorrect is an innovative, orthodontic solution to straighten your teeth in a more discreet and effective way when compared to traditional techniques. These clear, customised, removable teeth aligners can give you a beautiful smile without the discomfort associated with wires and brackets from metal braces.

Our experienced cosmetic dentist offers this system of virtually invisible aligners to help improve the look and functionality of your teeth with long-lasting results.

The amount of time the retainers will be needed can vary – like more traditional braces, it depends on the severity of the case and how much the teeth need to move to reach their desired outcome. It can vary from a few months to a couple of years – when it is a longer amount of time it isn’t such a daunting prospect knowing that you can still take them out for meals! Of course, they must be worn for at least 22 hours of the day to be able to work to their full potential. This will be monitored by the dentist; the patient will receive a new set of aligners every so often as the teeth move. The aligners work by putting pressure on the teeth that need to be moved so of course, the more the aligners are worn, the more effective it will have on the teeth. The aligners themselves are made using cutting edge technology, based on scans and an assessment of the patient’s teeth and jaw. This is monitored closely as the teeth begin to move, to ensure that the patient receives exactly what is needed every step of the way. This is the perfect solution for those who do not want braces that look obvious, and of course, to be able to eat normally whilst receiving the treatment is a huge benefit!
